As we all know, I’ve been having much trouble with Mother’s Day this year. My friend Nicole Wardell posted this on her Facebook Wall:

I never knew how or why Mother’s Day was started.

Nicole wrote this:

“Howe founded Mother’s Day as a way to speak out against the thousands of sons dying in the Civil War. She wanted mothers to unite and put an end to human suffering, as all those dying were some mother’s children. Tomorrow I honor mothers with full arms and empty arms, with baby’s on Earth and Baby’s in Heaven, and those whose desires to be mothers have not been met…may we all celebrate Mother’s Day tomorrow how it was meant to be celebrated…remembering and protecting human life!!!”

Mother’s Day is MY day. Mother’s Day is for us all to unite to stand up for those without voices including Cora, Aiden, Seth, Casey, Maddie, and well, the list endless….
